‘Ahsoka’ Season Two Announced!

The question fans have been asking since October finally has an answer!

Yes, season two of Ahsoka is in development.

Buried in the announcement of the new Star Wars film, The Mandalorian and Grogu, was confirmation that showrunner Dave Filoni is currently developing a second season of the hit series that aired last summer and fall on Disney+. To supplement the rather subdued announcement, Lucasfilm has released a concept sketch drawn by Filoni which shows Ahsoka and Sabine standing on the massive statue Baylan was seen standing on at the end of season one (above).

Season one saw Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren travel to another galaxy in search of Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn, picking up the story from the finale of the animated series Star Wars Rebels. In the end, they all seemed to trade places, with Ahsoka and Sabine stranded in the adjacent galaxy and Thrawn and Ezra returning to the primary Star Wars galaxy.

Ahsoka season one starred Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine, Eman Estanfandi as Ezra, Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stephenson as Baylan Skroll, Ivanka Sakho as Shin Hati, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, David Tennant as Huyang, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.

No release date has been set for season two, though it is expected to be released before the film Filoni is developing that has been billed as the conclusion to the stories that began in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.
