‘Tales of the Empire’ Series of Animated Shorts Announced, Trailer Revealed

In 2022 we had Tales of the Jedi, and coming in 2024 is Tales of the Empire

Lucasfilm announced the new series of animated shorts, which premiere on Disney+ on May the 4th, today with the release of a new trailer. All six-shorts will drop on May 4th, with six episodes following the exploits of Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee (three episodes per character). The stories, as the name Tales of the Empire suggests, are set during the reign of the empire and explore what adventures Bariss and Morgan had during this era. Check out the trailer below

The series sees Diana Lee Inosanto as the voice of Morgan Eslbeth, after debuting the character in live action on The Mandaorian and Ahsoka. Meredith Selinger also returns as Barriss Offee, after having last voiced the characters in Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2013. The cast also features Rya Kihlstedt (Lyn, aka Fourth Sister), Wing T. Chao (Wing), Lars Mikkelsen (Thrawn), Jason Isaacs (Grand Inquisitor) and Matthew Wood (General Grievous) reprising their roles from other Star Wars productions.

Dave Filoni serves as executive producer and supervising director on the series, with Athena Yvette Portillo and Carrie Beck joining him as EPs.

All six episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire hit Disney+ on May 4th, 2024.
