Check Out The Amazing 'Star Wars' Displays At SDCC 2019
San Diego Comic Con is here again, and with it comes lots of Star Wars fun for fans in attendance to check out. These include displays of movie props, as well as new Star Wars products that are either already available or soon will be. The annual Wednesday preview night gave us our first opportunity to check out what was on the show floor, and this year's displays do not disappoint. Much of the focus is on the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker later this year, but there is also plenty celebrating the rest of the beloved saga.
Before the convention even kicked off, we were treated to the reveal of the new Sith trooper from The Rise Of Skywalker. This new, red armored warrior was all over the Star Wars displays, as expected. This included an actual set of Sith trooper armor, a life size Lego recreation, a Hasbro Black Series figure, and so much more. You can see it all in the Instagram gallery below,
The Sith trooper armor that was on display was part of an exhibit at the Lucasfilm pavilion celebrating the legacy of the stormtrooper. The display featured nine suits of stormtrooper armor from across the original and sequel trilogy, as well as Rogue One. You can see all the different trooper costumes in the Instagram gallery below,
In addition to the Trooper displays, there was lots of other fun Star Wars content to be found, including a celebration of the Skywalker saga at the Hasbro booth, where figures from their 6" scale Black Series line were used to create tributes to all nine films. For fans of the literary side of Star Wars, there were also display copies of certain upcoming Star Wars novels on the show floor. The featured novels are, Resistance Reborn by Rebecca Roanhorse, Black Spire by Delilah S. Dawson, Thrawn: Treason (convention exclusive cover) by Timothy Zahn, and Star Wars: Myths & Fables by George Mann. Check out the Instagram gallery below,
Not everything on display had an eye towards the future, there was plenty of products and displays celebrating the past. You can see many of these in the Instagram gallery below,
And finally, I can think of no better way to conclude our coverage of preview night, than with this bust of Star Wars creator George Lucas that was on display at the Gentle Giant booth,
