Three New ‘Star Wars’ Movies Announced!
Star Wars Celebration kicked off in a big way today with the Lucasfilm Showcase panel, which revealed the future of Star Wars at the cinemas.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced three new movies that lead the return of Star Wars to movie theaters for the first time since 2019. The films will be directed by James Mangold (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel), and Dave Filoni (The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian)
The films are:
A conclusion to the “Mandoverse” storyline that’s been told across The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and Skeleton Crew, directed by Dave Filoni.
A “biblical epic” about the dawn of the Jedi, directed by James Mangold.
A story set fifteen years following The Rise of Skywalker about the establishment of a new Jedi Order, directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and starring Daisy Ridley as Rey Skywalker.
No release dates have been set for any of the three films.
