“The Tractor Beam” Joins The SWU Podcast Network!

The Star Wars Underworld Podcast Network is thrilled to announce the addition of a new show to our ranks!

“The Tractor Beam” is a weekly Star Wars podcast recapping and reviewing that week’s Star Wars publishing releases, with a special focus on Star Wars comics!

The show is the brainchild of Eye On Canon co-host Matthew Neugebauer, who hosted an earlier version, an audio-only version of the show for fifty episodes as a spin-off of Eye On Canon. The relaunched Tractor Beam will continue reviewing Star Wars comics but with some new twists—including a new co-host and a video component.

Joining Matthew as host is Chris “Starrapter” Abbott. Chris is no stranger to the Star Wars Underworld, holding the title of “Senior Tie-In Materials Correspondent” on the Star Wars Underworld Podcast and appearing regularly on that show to discuss video games, publishing and more. He also runs the YouTube channel Starrapter where, among other things, he hosts the Star Wars Podcast “Outer Rim Transmission.”

Matthew and Chris will relaunch “The Tractor Beam” on August 3rd, 2023, live on the Star Wars Underworld YouTube channel. The first episode will cover the new “Dark Droids” crossover event in Marvel’s Star Wars comics. New episodes will be recorded live weekly!
